Habitat : is a very common fungus in the forests of Eucalyptus spp . which usually grow in the bottom of the trunks of living trees. He is considered a parasite and causes severe damage to the quality of Eucalyptus spp woods. but also often found in dead stumps and some authors consider it a saprophytic fungus.
Edibility: fungus is considered a toxic but not fatal. Some publications indicate that this species possess substances hallucinogenic but this has not been tested for specimens found in Chile. In other countries such as northern Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay tend to consume this fungus with different types of meat.
